Testing at FHS

Information and instructions for students sitting the SAT
on March 14th at Foothill High School

Before The Test

Don't forget:

Test your PUSD Chromebook: 

  • Open your PUSD Chromebook.
  • Go to Apps - Open Bluebook.
  • When it loads, hit test device. This will force a required and necessary pre-test update.

Update your PUSD Chromebook: 

  • Log into device.
  • Go to the clock.
  • Click settings gear.
  • Go to About chrome OS and hit check for updates.

Do a Practice Test Online
Visit collegeboard.org for practice tests and test information.

Canceling your Registration?
If you no longer wish to sit the test and want to cancel your registration, please email jfriesen@pleasantonusd.net. At this stage, there are no refunds, but we do need to inform the College Board of any cancellations. Registration is closed.

Need to borrow a PUSD Chromebook?
If you do not have a PUSD Chromebook, you must rent one from David Scott, Tech Services, in B-25 at Foothill on Tuesday 11th, Wednesday 12th, or Thursday 13th, after school. You will not be able to test without a PUSD Chromebook and you cannot use another personal device under any circumstances.

On Test Day

Start Times and Room Allocation

Add these times to your calendars.

  • Students with College Board accommodations - Arrive at 6:45 am for a 7:00 am start.
  • Students with standard timing - Arrive at 7:00 am for a 7:15 am start
  • Late arrivals will not be able to test.

Leave yourself 30 minutes additional time for parking and traffic.

Room assignments were posted on the office windows on Tuesday, March 4th .

Further Instructions - What to Bring and more

  1. Know that the test will take approximately 3 hours and you will not be permitted to leave early, even if you believe you have done all you can on the test.
  2. Bring your FHS ID, Driver's license, or photo ID on your phone.
  3. Bring pencils, College Board approved calculator, and your PUSD Chromebook (fully charged and with a power cord). You can also bring a snack and water for under your desk.
  4. You may bring your phone, but it must be turned off and left in your bag in a designated area.
  5. Apple watches and all other electronics are not allowed in the testing room. Leave these at home.  
  6. You cannot bring hats with brims or wear a hood on your head during the test.
  7. This is a non-school day so the office will be closed. Have a method to contact your ride home when the test is over.
  8. Review the Permitted and Prohibited Items image to see what is allowed and what is not allowed in the testing room.

Getting Your Results

  1. Download the BigFuture® School app.
  2. Provide your mobile number during the SAT exam setup.
  3. When scores are available, you’ll receive a text with a download link.
  4. Click on the link and review your SAT scores directly on your phone.
