Community Service Hours

Requirement for Graduation

In order to graduate from the Pleasanton Unified School District and Foothill High School, students are required to complete 20 service hours with a non-profit organization in the community. Turn in documentation of signed off hours to the basket marked “Community Service” in the counseling office. Hours can be submitted as soon as students complete them during high school, but are due SENIOR YEAR by May 1.

  • Hours can be accumulated from all 4 years of high school, including those used for other courses or club activities serving the community.

  • NOTE: If you have not attended the Pleasanton Unified School District for all 4 years of high school, your requirement is 5 hours per year you were enrolled in a Pleasanton Unified School District high school (ex: if you joined PUSD junior year of high school, your requirement is 10 hours of community service).

  • Students of any grade level can use this Community Service Documentation form to record hours completed.
