18-Year-Old Release

Students who are 18 years old may request a responsibility release from the school. That means they no longer need a parent to call the school to be excused from school for legitimate reasons, such as illness or medical appointments.

This allows students to check in or out as needed for medical reasons only, for two periods or fewer, in a school day. If the student will miss more than two periods in a day, the attendance office needs to be notified by parent/guardian.

If the student needs to leave school for a non-medical reason, a parent/guardian must call the office to request a pass.

Also, if the student will miss an entire day due to medical or non-medical reasons, the parent/guardian needs to notify the attendance office of the full-day absence.

Please look below for the form to complete and turn in to the front office for approval.
